Article Abstract:
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is found to act as a pain reliever in part by engaging a receptor in peripheral tissues, CB2. It is revealed that cannabinoids, acting through CB2 on skin cells, stimulate the local release of endogenous opiods.

CB1 cannabinoid receptor antagonism: a new strategy for the treatment of liver fibrosis
Article Abstract:
An investigation on whether activation of cannabinoid CB1 receptors promotes progression of fibrosis is presented. CB1 receptors were highly induced in human cirrhotic samples and in liver fibrogenic cells.
